HITEN 780LE is a low-carbon, microalloyed steel, featuring a carbon content of ≤ 0.20 %, and enhanced with small amounts of Nb, V, Ti, and Mn, all aimed at achieving a low carbon equivalent (Ceq). It typically boasts a yield strength (Rp0.2) of ≥ 685 MPa (in standard thickness ranges), while its tensile strength ranges from 780 to 930 MPa. This steel maintains excellent impact toughness (≥ ~40 J at –40 °C across various thicknesses) and delivers strong fatigue performance. HITEN 780LE is designed for good weldability (with appropriate low-hydrogen consumables) and requires less preheating, making fabrication easier.
