WP12 pipe fittings of Alloy Steel are predominantly made of molybdenum (0.90–1.10%) and chromium (2.0–2.5%) that increases its strength, hardness, and corrosive resistance at high temperatures. The steel is also constituted of trace quantities of carbon (0.05–0.15%), manganese, and silicon. WP12 also possesses excellent mechanical properties, such as tensile strength of (415–585 MPa), yield strength (205 MPa), and minimum elongation (20%). All these properties offer great performance in high-pressure and high-temperature environments, and therefore WP12 is ideally capable of being used in critical application areas in chemical processing, power generation, and boiler applications. It also has very good thermal fatigue and stress cracking resistance.
