Alloy Steel T9 Tubing is a ferritic alloy steel that contains around 8.0–10.0% chromium and 0.90–1.10% molybdenum, along with carefully controlled amounts of carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur. This specific composition boosts the tubing’s strength, oxidation resistance, and creep resistance at high temperatures. Typically, T9 tubing boasts a minimum tensile strength of 415 MPa and a yield strength of 205 MPa, along with commendable ductility and hardness. The material undergoes heat treatment processes like normalizing and tempering to ensure long-lasting mechanical stability and resistance to scaling, making it well-suited for extended exposure to high thermal loads.
