What is Alloy Steel T5 Tubing?

Alloy Steel T5 Tubing is a ferritic alloy that mainly consists of chromium (4.0–6.0%) and molybdenum (0.45–0.65%), along with carefully controlled levels of carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur. This specific composition gives T5 tubing outstanding high-temperature strength, creep resistance, and oxidation resistance. It boasts a minimum tensile strength of 415 MPa and a yield strength of 205 MPa, along with good elongation and hardness, making it ideal for environments that experience thermal stress and pressure fluctuations. These mechanical properties, combined with the alloy’s ability to resist scaling and corrosion, make T5 a dependable choice for extended exposure to high temperatures.
