What is Alloy Steel T23 Tubing?

Alloy Steel T23 Tubing is a low-alloy ferritic steel primarily made up of chromium (1.9–2.6%) and molybdenum (0.05–0.30%), with added elements like tungsten, vanadium, niobium, nitrogen, and carbon to boost its strength, creep resistance, and weldability. This well-balanced chemical makeup allows the tubing to achieve a minimum tensile strength of 510 MPa and a yield strength of 400 MPa, all while maintaining good ductility and formability. T23 is specifically designed for high-temperature performance and long-term use under creep conditions. Its microstructure, developed through controlled heat treatment, ensures it can withstand thermal fatigue, oxidation, and corrosion in elevated service environments.
