SA 516 GR.60N NACE and HIC Plates are carbon steel pressure vessel plates specifically designed to resist hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC) and sulfide stress corrosion in sour service conditions. Their typical composition features carbon (max 0.21%), manganese (0.55–0.98%), phosphorus (max 0.035%), and sulfur (max 0.035%). These plates are supplied in a normalized state to boost toughness and ductility. Mechanically, they provide a minimum tensile strength of 415–550 MPa and a yield strength of at least 240 MPa. These characteristics, along with compliance in HIC testing, make them perfect for high-pressure, corrosive environments.
