EN 91 plates and sheets consist of high-grade nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy steel, engineered for high strength and toughness. Their chemical composition generally contains 0.37–0.44% carbon, 1.80–2.10% nickel, 0.90–1.40% chromium, and 0.20–0.30% molybdenum. These plates also offer high tensile strength of 850-1000 MPa and yield strength of approximately 680 MPa following heat treatment. Characterized by outstanding fatigue resistance, impact toughness, and good ductility, EN 91 plates retain strength and dimensions under rigorous conditions, and thus they are ideal for use in critical structural applications.
