ASTM A242 Type 2 Corten steel sheet and plate is a high strength, low alloy structure with increased atmospheric rust resistance. The composition includes carbon (.10.15%), manganese (0.001.00%), phosphorus (.10.15%), sulfur (0.0.05%), copper (0.20–0.60%), nickel (≤0.50%) and chromium (0.30-1..25%). It has a return strength of 345 MPa, tensile strength of 485 MPa and an increase of 21%. The benefits include better durability, layers of self -protective war, little maintenance, excellent weldability and increased service life, which is ideal for bridge, architecture and external structures.
