ARCELOR 400 plates and sheets are of wear-resistant steel composed chiefly of iron, carbon (0.15-0.25%), manganese, silicon, chromium, and nickel that promote hardness and toughness. They have excellent mechanical characteristics in terms of tensile strength (≥1250 MPa), hardness (~400 HBW), and resistance to impact.
